| I just recently came across Vacancy 2 and since I love and have the first one, I had to buy the second one and I was really impressed. I don't know which one I like better, they both scared the hell out of me. In this one, it goes back and shows how the psychopaths got involved in making snuff films, so this one is suppose to take place before Vacancy. This one centers on a group of friends, Agnes Bruckner, Trevor Wright and Arjay Smith and others encounter a team of psychos, who have rigged the motel with cameras and plan to butcher the friends for profit. | This is not has scary has the first movie of Vacancy. But it is very scary. It has a great story line. And great acting. It is very scary. One of the scariest movie I have seen. 5 is underrating it. |

| I was really surprised by this one. As far as direct to DVD films go, this one's much better than average. It has pretty good acting and production values. I'd say it's comparable in quality to Joy Ride 2, if you've had a chance to catch that one.Since it's a prequel, the conclusion is mostly foregone, but the writers did offer up a few nice twists that keeps this from being a waste of time.Not a lot of gore. | Maybe not quite as gruelling as the first, Vacancy, but possibly even more enjoyable. Again, pretty much non-stop action and this time whilst we know from the start what is going on because of the previous film, the director allows for this and is up front with us from the very beginning.Highly effective and worrying believable with all the cast performing well. The on screen horrors are not overdone or clichéd or even fetichised, like torture porn, just good solid thrilling stuff.Involving too, because once even the baddies are to be measured against something worse, we are drawn into the <more> |
